STRATEGY

RESEARCH

Information Architecture

Our goal was to restructure the site and make it easier to find information as well as mirror the in-person experience. Despite various levels of agency, patients and caregivers are often given a lot of resources so we were determined to create a user-friendly website equipped with easy access to the necessary information for their care.

DESIGN

Website Navigation

Philosophically, the architecture aligns with our patient and caregiver-centered approach. Descriptively, it explains what is done at SCCA, and emerging from this is an understanding of what makes SCCA unique. Experientially, using the site feels like the care received at SCCA and individuals can easily access content.

Examples of various ways to navigate the website from the main navigation top-level categories (About, Diseases, Treatments, etc.), sections (Disease-specific, etc.), pages, and in-page navigation.

Site Style + Content Guide

This guide incorporates brand rules, atomic design, and content strategy. It is important to establish best practices, in regards to design and content, to help create the intended experience. We wanted to ensure that any future person who works on the SCCA's website is fully equipped with the right tools and knowledge on how to use the site and create content for it.
